Ski buses along Altiport road

We%26#39;re staying at the Chalet Diane along the Altiport road, would nayone know the frequency of ski buses day and night? We%26#39;ve found out our chalet is a way out of town!

Thanks

Hi Andy

We stayed there earlier this month. The hosts, Steve and Amy, are great and the food is fab (say hi to them from us!!). By far the best catered chalet we have ever stayed in, and the location is the best in the village despite it being a little way out.

The bus you need to catch is the %26quot;Citrus%26quot; one - you can catch it from a number of stops in the resort and there is also a stop right opposite the chalet. However you can ski/board down from the chalet to a chair lift, or for non skiers you can walk down the slope which takes about 10 mins. You can also ski/board back down to the chalet at the end of the day from the top of the DMC gondola.

The buses did seem to run fairly frequently during the day but seemed to run less often later on (I think the latest we caught was 10 pm ish).

Hope you have a great time - I%26#39;m sure you will!

I%26#39;m trying to arrange a trip for 2010 - for 16 of us - probably at the Chalet Diane. Can you tell me whether the triple rooms are suitable for families - each for 2 parents + teenage daughter, so bunk beds would not be suitable. Also, what did you think of the chalet?

Thanks!

Hi

We stayed in a double (room 4 I think) which was lovely. Not sure what the triples are like but there was a couple there with their teenage granddaughter in a triple room. I think they are prob quite small. See my other comments re the chalet. We loved it!

Thanks Annie.

I%26#39;ve now heard that one of the triple rooms has one single bed, and bunks.... ! I think the other has 3 single beds. So, we won%26#39;t be going there after all.

Thanks for your help. Izzy
