Paris day 5!

Another beautiful day in Paris yesterday. Went to Place de Concorde - walked thru the Tuilleries and went to L%26#39;Orangerie - loved that museum - great paintings - especially Monet%26#39;s water lilies. Realized I am not a fan of Picasso - at least those paintings that were there - he made all the women look like Shrek! LOL!

Walked over the Angelinas for Hot Chocolate ( I am told in Paris you only have to ask for the chocolat as they don%26#39;t serve it cold!) and a glass of vin rouge (love red wine and chocolate!) and shared a dessert - very good! Saw Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones in there. Took a cab to Mariage Frere tea shop - love that place. Bought some ginger tea which I am drinking right now and its so good! Right outside - number 24 I believe is a placque for a Jew who was killed in the deportation.

Took a taxi back to our apt in the 7th and ate at Sud Restaurant - 159 Rue De Grenelle. I had the BEST aubergine lasagna that I have ever had! Panna Cotta w/ red berries for dessert - tres bien!

Dropped mom off at the apt and walked and found Julia Childs home - walked across the Pont Alexandre bridge - back over the Invalides bridge - down thru the Invalides and back home.

Its different travelling with an 88 year old woman with some difficulties. Anyone who is planning on doing so should know that it is not easy getting a cab - as it is in London or NYC. Couple of years ago we took her to London and it was sooooo much easier to get around. Therefore we aren%26#39;t getting to as many places - but since I have been here a few times I have seen most of the places so I don%26#39;t feel this pressure that I%26#39;m missing out on something! Also - number of places its really hard to manuever her wheelchair - lots of cobblestoned sidewalks or streets - its actually been quite humerous at times - well maybe not for Mom who is getting the ride of her life! lol!

Today I am going to the fish mkt to get some fish for this evenings meal and then off we go on some other grand adventure!
