My impressions of the tours in Paris done this weekend past.

Paris Free Walking Tour

The tour started at St Michel which was easy to get to as it is right at a Metro stop. Our guide (Spike) was great and she very obviously loves the city. We were very interested in the little bits of trivia she kept giving us and had a very entertaining tour. There were about 40 of us in the group but Spike made sure she had a chat to each one of us at some stage. There is a stop for lunch and the 3.5 hrs flew by. Would heartily recommend this to any visitor to Paris.

Paris Guided Pub Crawl,

Having done the London pub crawl we were very keen to do the Paris one. Was quite disappointed with the Paris one though. The crawl started at St Michel as well. Of the four pubs we went to 1 was an Irish pub and 1 was a Scottish pub. There were discounted drinks available at the pubs and the prices were quite reasonable (for Paris). However when we got to the club (after taking the Metro) the prices of drinks was ridiculous (€12 for a single vodka). Most of us on the tour did not expect the massive increase in the price of drinks and quite a few of us had hefty bills for the first round of drinks. The guide should have warned us about this. Not a bad option if you are solo traveler though as we met loads of interesting people.

Has anyone completed the Montmartre Tour with SANDEMANs? Recommended?

I too would like to hear if anyone has done the Montmartre tour - it%26#39;s very high up on my list of %26#39;must-sees%26#39;, and would love to hear if it was good/bad.

There were quite a few couples / groups there. In general I think she got tipped between €5 - 10€ from what I saw.
