Versailles organized tour

My husband and I are interested in doing an organized tour to Versailles. I am not interested in hearing how we can do this on our own by taking public transportation, we would rather have a tour take us there. Has anyone done this recently, and if so, what company did you use? Thanks!

We went on a 1/2 day tour with ParisVision (as part of a package) which was excellent.

Their tours to Chateau Versailles are listed here

I think the minivan tours are worth the extra, as the group is so much smaller.

Thank you. Where were you picked up?

Amy you can also use Cityrama, both Parisvision and Cityrama offer basically same tours and prices. You can easily google for their websites( which are in english if you wish). Cityramas main office is right across from the Louvre on Rue Du Rivoli, so very easy to find,, and every hotel lobby will have their brochures. They offer the big bus tours, but also smaller van tours for additional cost.

I haven%26#39;t done this but I know France Tourisme also offers day and half-day tours to Versailles (francetourisme.fr/uk/versailles-excursion.ht…).

With the ParisVision minivan tours we%26#39;ve taken, we were picked up at our hotel (others having been picked up already and/or others to be picked up), and the driver heads off once everyone is collected. On return, you are dropped wherever you like (such as your dinner destination - on one tour, two other couples on the tour tagged along with us to dinner).

With the larger coach tours, we learned the first time NOT to opt for hotel pickup, as you just get up an hour earlier to drive all over Paris picking up lots and lots of folks, only to be dropped at the departure point and get on another bus. It%26#39;s easy enough to get yourself to the departure point more quickly. On return, you%26#39;re dropped at the departure point, though most drivers will drop people off at other places if along the way.

We%26#39;ve had such wonderful experiences with ParisVision, particularly with the tour guides (who have not only been supremely knowledgeable and helpful, but SO charming!), that we%26#39;ve just stuck with them. On our Barbizon/Fontainebleau/Vaux-le-Vicomte tour, we were told the second guide was %26quot;in training%26quot;, but she, too, was totally charming and just amazing.

My Dh and I just did the Fat Tire Bike Tour to Versailles last week, and loved it! It is a great option to make a trip to Versailles. Check them out here on trip advisor.

We loved our day with the tour!

I just returned from Paris and took a Versailles tour with Aeon Tours. Our guide picked our group up at our hotel the morning of the tour, then spent the day with us at Versailles. Our guide (Francoise - request her if you can) was fantastic. She said she%26#39;s been leading tour groups in Paris for years. You can send me a PM if you have any more questions.

I pasted the link to that tour below:

Cheers,

Sandra
