Hi - we are travelling to Saint-Cyprien at the beginning of August. We want to drive down from the ferry, stopping on the way. We want to do the larger part of the driving on the first day. We need ideas about places to stay for one night for a family of four on the way and return. We%26#39;d rather not do the campanile type of hotel but don%26#39;t want to spend too much. Any ideas? Thanks.

We%26#39;re travelling at the begining of June and have opted to stay in Orleans. From the ferry to saint-cyprien it is a 11 hour drive. It is about 5 hours to Orleans and the best half way point we could find.

I agree - Orleans is a good stop off point with lots of hotels.
Word of advice though - book in advance, we%26#39;ve been caught out before
