We will arrive by flight into Nice next Wednesday at 11:55am. From the airport, we will then proceed to Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat where we%26#39;ll be staying at the Royal Riviera for one night. Thursday, we will be moving to the Palais de la Mediteranee in Nice.....also for one night. Friday, we take a train to Paris.
We%26#39;re debating on whether to rent a car or use buses and taxis. My thinking is that we%26#39;d probably come out cheaper renting a car and it would also be more convenient. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Airport to st jean cap ferrat - bus 98 to Nice bus station then from there bus 81 to st jean cap ferrat - ticket costs 4 euros per person - [use same ticket on second bus- just validate it again.
The 4 euro ticket is an all day ticket for ligne d%26#39;azur buses]

I guess I meant it%26#39;d be cheaper than a taxi. The Royal Riviera has a free car park. Not sure about the Palais. Also unsure about the logistics of lugging luggage around from hotels, to bus-stops, to and from connecting buses, etc. In your opinion, this shouldn%26#39;t pose much of a problem?

How much luggage will you have?
I can%26#39;t see it being more hassle than hiring a car and getting to the car park etc.
You get the 98 bus from just outside either terminal , stay on till last stop at Nice bus station.
walk about 20 feet to bus 81 stand inside bus station
get off at %26#39;baie des forumis%26#39; [its the stop stop after kerylos] -its close to the hotel which is a very pink and unmissable a couple of minutes walk along the road

I would rent a car at the airport and drop it off when you arrive in Nice the next day. It will certainly be much more expensive than the bus but will give you the chance to drive around Cap Ferrat and/or up to Eze. We find Sixt car rental very reliable and pleasant to deal with (unlike some others). You can drop off beside the Meridien hotel which is close to the Palais. Taxi to the station will be under 20 euro.
