We are arriving by cruise ship to LeHarve at 7;00 AM need to be back by 7:00pm. Is there anyway to see Mont St. Michel ? Our cruise dosn%26#39;t offer a tour there.

You could drive if you hired a car. It%26#39;s 130 miles from Le Havre to Mont St Michel, and the driving time would be around 2h45 each way, without allowing for stops.

It%26#39;s a long way to go to see a church on a rock, and thousands of other tourists.

I personally like MSM. However, I wouldn%26#39;t say it%26#39;s worth your time and stress to go there and be back within 12 hours. You%26#39;d spend more time driving than enjoying the atmosphere.

A trip to nearby Honfleur or Etretat will be much more enjoyable given your time constraints. You might be able to go as far as Caen or Rouen.

I must third Sydneynick and Sammy. MSM is a great place to visit but it%26#39;s a long way to go from Le Havre.

The d-day beaches are an interesting alternative , or Rouen or Honfleur.

The ships used to run excursions to MSM. We had 2½ hours to get there an hour for lunch an hour for the visit then 2½ hours back. I suppose many people complained about the distance, which of course wasn%26#39;t mentioned in the brochure, so there are no more excursions. It%26#39;s probably no help to you, but others might note that St Malo is the best port of call for visiting MSM, it%26#39;s just 40 minutes away. But less cruises go to St Malo.
