If your budget is tight, you would do well to rent a vacation apartment. You might try centreparis.com. It gets consistently good reviews here on TA. The apartments are not luxurious, but clean and convenient. Having breakfast in the apt also saves some money. Do book something as soon as you can. October is a popular time to visit Paris.

Hi madoke,

Try with www.servissimo.com

They are very reliable and have apartments to rent in the 5 and 6th arrondissement

Because public transportation is excellent, you don%26#39;t need to consider only very central apartments. We just stayed in the 15th, close to the dividion between 7 and 15, and from our metro stop, we could get to just about anyplace in 15 minutes. You may find that the price of the apartments is significantly different if you aren%26#39;t in 1-6. Another source for finding an apartment is www.vrbo.com

I know the Best Western Sydney Opera on rue Mathurins has triples. Don%26#39;t know if they can handle 4 to a room. Might pay you to find out. It is a good central location, off a street behind the Madeleine and before Haussman.
