local opinion please

hi folks, my girlfriend and I are travelling to the south west of france and north of spain for one week in august. we arrive on a sunday to biarritz, intend staying sunday and monday in biarritz, tuesday night in st jean de luz, wednesday and thursday in san sebastian (spain) and back to biarritz for friday and saturday night, are we staying too long or short in any of these places or are there any other spots we%26#39;re leaving out, we will have a car so most spots are possiblities for us. really appreciate any points or must do%26#39;s or don%26#39;ts in advance.

Instead of changing locations, you might want to consider using one place as a base and visit the rest of the area traveling by car. The distances are not great and you%26#39;ll find plenty of parking for day trips. I would pick either Biarritz or Saint Jean-de-Luz as a base.

You should also download a copy of Maribel%26#39;s Guides to the Pays Basque and PaĆs Vasco for some excellent information on the Basque country (www.maribelsguides.com), what to see, do and where to eat.

In my opinion you should give San Seb more than 2 nights. Biarritz is a small town and two nights will be plenty. There is more to discover in San Seb so I would advise taking an extra night either at the beginning or end of your week.
