Getting From Hotel to Restaurant

My wife and I will be going to Paris for the first time in just over a week, to celebrate our five year anniversary. Thanks to a few guide books and a TON of information I%26#39;ve gathered from browsing this forum, we%26#39;re pretty comfortable with our itinerary, but am just looking to get opinions on the best way to get from our hotel, which is the Westin (3 Rue Castiglione) to L%26#39;Atelier Maitre Albert (recommended by a friend; does anyone have any feedback?). Will it be easy to take the metro, or are we better off taking a cab?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Although the metro is easy to use, I would suggest asking your hotel to call a taxi to take you to the restaurant. The restaurant can call you a taxi for your return to the hotel.

When the weather is nice ( and it will be light until very late when you are there) we take the Metro to the restaurant and then take a cab home. You will need a Metro map and then figure out if you want to take the Metro. Your comfort with the Metro by the time you go to this restaurant and how many times you have to change lines to get there (if at all) may help you make your decision.

I%26#39;d walk... at least in one direction. It%26#39;s about a 40 minute stroll. This link gives you an idea of a route with Google Maps...

Good suggestion to walk, but for an anniversary dinner perhaps the OP and his wife will be dressed formally (e.g. heels) and walking may not be so comfortable. :)

You asked for feedback on the restaurant. I like Maitre Albert very much. I%26#39;ve eaten there three or four times and really enjoyed it each time.

And btw, I agree that, if the weather is nice, you should walk at least one way. It%26#39;s a very nice walk, some of it just along the river.

I appreciate everyone%26#39;s response. I would definitely be up for walking, but as was mentioned by another poster, my wife will be in heels and may not enjoy a longer walk like that. :)

Thanks again!
