shuttle to and from airport

I was just organizing for the shuttle service from the airport to your hotel in Paris. Can anyone give me advice on where to go for this service.

On July 4, We will arrive at the Charles de Gaulle airport at 6H30. So we will need service from the airport to the hotel. Our Hotel is located in the Bastille/Le Marais district. 11th Arrondissement, just steps from the metro Bastille. Our hotel is on Beaumarchais Blvd.

On July 6th, we will need the shuttle from the hotel to the airport in Paris Orly (Terminal Sud). We want to be at Orly at 15H.

We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenage boys) with 5 pieces of luggage.

Please give suggestions if I should use shuttle service, or should I use the train/subway.

Merci,

Maria

It is very easy to go to Paris from Roissy charles de gaulle Airport, and easier to go to Orly (orly is closer than Charles de gaulle Roissy). First the map of Parisian tube :

ratp.info/orienter/cv/cv_en/carteparis.php

Form Charles de gaulle airport to go to Paris, you have RER B. You go to chatelet, then you change for line 1 to go to bastille. It takes 1H. The price is 8,5 euro/pers.

To go to Orly from Bastille, take line 1 to chatelet, then RER B to Antony (2 euro/pers) Then you have the orlyval to got straight to Orly (9,10 euro/pers). But with all your luggage it could be tiring and it take 45 min-1 hour to go.

I recommand you maybe a airport shuttle service. It just a little bit more expensive than by train :69 euro for 5 people. But it would be more confortable. It is more or less the same as a taxi, but you have to book it. And your driver is waiting for you at the airport, the price is fixed, and they take until 8 people :

And you pay at the end. Credit card accepted. (Visa or mastercard)

A shuttle service that is often recommended and used frequently by TA regulars is http://www.shuttle-inter.com

They use vans so you%26#39;ll all fit and unlike many shuttles that take other passengers as well, you%26#39;ll be the only people aboard.

55 Euros but they often give a 5 E discount on round trips if you mention frequent user and TA regular %26quot;GraceJoan3%26quot;.

You pay the driver so have some Euro cash handy.

Bon voyage!

Rob

PS this might impress the boys if you don%26#39;t tell them in advance... the driver will meet you at arrivals with your name on a sign. Just like in the movies! ;^)

Here is some more information on CDG to Paris.

We used Grey shuttle with excellent results for 6 people with luggage:

http://www.greyshuttle.com/

Our drivers were early, spoke good English, and confirmed everything via e-mail as requested.

I had 2 HORRIBLE experiences with BLUEVAN--they did not show up for a return flight, and we almost missed our flight. beware of them.

Used Shuttle-Inter for RT, CDG-Paris this past week and no discount despite their knowing I know Joan, but regardless, a great, dependable service. Our plane was a half hour early getting into CDG, and the driver was waiting for us despite the early arrival; for the return, he was right outside our apt. at the appointed time-he may have even been early, but we weren%26#39;t! :-)

I quit using the RER for this years ago, and this shuttle did not cost any more than a taxi, IME, and it could cost a lot less if you get hung up in traffic jams in cab.

I just got back from a week in Paris. We used InterShuttle as well and had a good experience. Our plane was very late arriving in Paris but our driver was still there waiting for us. They also took us back to the airport when we left and were right on time.

I have also heard TA Users mention Paris Shuttle. Is Inter shuttle preferred??
