There are trains and buses - the bus route is reliable and comfortable coaches and very cheap .
Bus 500 from Nice to Grasse takes about an hour and a half/and hour and 40 mns and costs one euro so unbeatable value

train timetable [till 4th july] - takes about an hour and 10 mins - costs 8euros 40 single - train station isn%26#39;t in the old town but there is a free shuttle

Good grief! 40 Euros from Nice to Grasse is highway robbery, given the short distance.

Thankfully its not quite that expensive though its a lot in comparison with the bus - 8euros40 single
the bus used to be that sort of price too until the heavy subsidies came in
