Weather in late September

We are having my dream holiday to Paris in late September and i was wondering about the weather and temperatures. Autumn in South Africa is amazing and the weather is mild. The evenings can be quite cool but Daytime Temps vary from 21C to 27C. Is the northern hemisphere the same? don%26#39;twant to take unneccesary warm clothing with if not needed.

Hi

Late Sept in Paris can still be delightfully sunny and warm depending on how the summer goes:-) This probably means a very pleasant 20C, as opposed to the 30C+ that you can get mid-summer (and that can make it very humid and sticky in the city).

In the evenings you will probably want a jacket or woollie with you but you%26#39;ll definitely not be cold.

Having said that.....like anywhere: check the 5-day forecast just as you start to pack :-)

Hi SAtraveller,

I was there in early october. Days are usually warm and sunny. Nights are a little cool.

The weather is really fine.

Enjoy Paris.

That%26#39;s the best time of year to go to Paris.

Days are sunny, and warm. You%26#39;ll need just a light jacket for evening and night.

Paris weather is quite unpredictable and variable. It also depends on who you ask--someone who tends to run %26quot;warm%26quot; or someone who runs %26quot;cool.%26quot; I was there in Sept-Oct 2007 and those weeks were quite cool. People were wearing coats, scarves and even gloves and hats at times. However, that was unseasonably cool. I was there the previous year at the same time and it was considerably warmer. I rarely wore a coat in 2006.

As far as checking the weather report, I find that they change it hourly. You can%26#39;t count on what they say. Even a single day will have several different types of weather within it. The best thing to do is bring clothes you can layer and put on and take off as necessary.

Paris is beautiful and fun regardless of the weather. In Sept. 2007 I walked through the beautiful Parc Monceau during a rain storm. I was amazed at the number of French people there--from children on a school outting, joggers and people walking through the park to find a bit of lunch.
