Any suggestions for beach front hotels??

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a beach front hotel that is centrally located? We%26#39;ve stayed at the Hotel West End last time we were in Nice and our room was nice, the hotel%26#39;s location was good....but we want to try something different. Something nice, where all the action is, etc...

Thank you in advance!

what sort of action are you looking for?

well we%26#39;re a young couple...so we want to have fun. By action I mean where it%26#39;s %26quot;live%26quot;...crowds, things to do, nice restaurants/bars. The most important thing is that we find a hotel as close to the beach as possible, something on the Promenade

Thanks,

Lidia

We stayed in December at the Mercure Promenade des Anglais and found the location to be excellent: a 10-minute walk to Vieux Nice and 5 minutes over to the Rue Masséna, which is loaded with restaurants and shops. The Place Masséna is about 10 minutes, and from there you can get trams to other areas of the city.

The Beau Rivage on the Promenade in old town is currently offering specials (just booked for 130 euros for classic room, regularly 280). Don%26#39;t know if it is %26quot;fun%26quot; but it has a private beach and is very centrally located.

The Beau Rivage seems to have become something os a businessperson%26#39;s hotel. The décor is all browns and grey, so the hotel doesn%26#39;t really feel Provençal. When we stayed there the a/c in our room didn%26#39;t work all of the time, the street noise was terrible, and the staff--with one exception--were unhelpful in the extreme. Also, the hotel is not on the Promenade des Anglais--no rooms with views of the sea.

Thank you for your replies....I think I%26#39;m going to book us at the Hotel Westminster. The hotel%26#39;s location is perfect and from the looks of it they do have sea view rooms. I love the Palais d M. but I%26#39;ve looked at the hotel%26#39;s pics and it doesn%26#39;t seem like they have sea view rooms, only partial views....so hopefully the Westminster will be a good choice!

You might consider hotel Suisse, great location and they have rooms with seaview.
