Need advice?

We are looking to go to Paris the June bank holiday, I am pregnant at the moment and will be 25weeks gone(over 5months)at this stage, I was looking for a nice hotel near the City centre, We are looking for a nice hotel central to shops, restaurants etc and don%26#39;t really have a budget as we only plan to stay 2/3nights.

As i haven%26#39;t been to many places before is this a nice City to visit?! I have read all reviews on hotels etc but just need to be put in the right direction?!

I%26#39;m really looking for a nice, romantic relaxed weekend, but i also want to do stuff and not be boring LOL!

Thanks so much

%26gt;is this a nice City to visit?

Yes! Just be ready for a big city with all that comes with big cities (noise, crowds, attitudes, traffic, prices, etc), but more.

In your condition, I%26#39;d suggest getting a hotel with air conditioning in case it gets hot. It can get stifling hot and uncomfortable, especially later in the summer. But those hot June nights can happen. Few hotels in Paris have air conditioning. Double check those hotel reviews because a lot of the hotels are quite dumpy. Also expect really small hotel rooms. I%26#39;ve been able to lock the room doors without even sitting up in bed. For a given price, I%26#39;ve never seen smaller. The bathrooms and elevators in those Paris hotels can be unbeatably small. Think closet size. Even with elevators about, expect stair climbing in most places.

It%26#39;s very wise of you to look for city centre. A lot of the packages out there put you in outer orbit. Shops, restaurants and everything are convenient in most centre areas. I recommend just about any location in the 5th or 6th arrondissement. When 5 or 6 get next to the Seine, you%26#39;re just outside of Notre Dame cathedral. Ile St-Louis is even better. IMO, anything in 8th or higher, as arrondissements go, gets a bit far out.

Thank you so much for helping me out. I totally forgot about air conditioning so thank you.
