Cafe or restaurant t watch Bastille Day fireworks.

We have just realised we will be in Paris for Bastille Day and would love to watch the fireworks on the Eiffell Tower at about 10.30pm.

R there any cafes or restaurants we can book a table that also have a view of the fireworks?

I%26#39;ve done this a couple times.

Forget the cafe and get folding chairs or blankets and stake out a section of the Champs de Mars--fortified with drinks and snacks. A fun time. Watch the show--human and electronic!!

What time do you have to stake out your piece of the Champs de Mars?

Great advice Pat.

What is best time to get there and r there other vantage points we could sit, drink, eat and people watch.?

|||

I don%26#39;t think that fireworks start until around 11. We got there at 10:30 once and found a patch to sit, but the earlier the better, I%26#39;m sure.

Sounds good....so if we r there by 7-8pm we should have no drama finding a patch to sit, drink, eat and be merry (oops, forgot, and watch the fireworks)

Great advice guys

I would plan to stake out your turf about 9pm.

One caution, though.

Kids (teens mostly) are often armed with firecrackers that night and like to scare unsuspecting partyers.

If there is a Bastille Day concert at Champs du Mars, then you will need to get your space by about 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. if you want to see the concert. The fireworks are spectacular enough that anywhere on the Champs du Mars has a great viewpoint. Take a picnic and enjoy the atmosphere. It%26#39;s a fantastic evening.

The fireworks start at about 11 or maybe 11.30. They finished at midnight in 2008. They did not actually use the Eiffel Tower for the fireworks that year, but they did use the Champs de Mars.
