CDG to Gare De L'est???

Hi

We will be 4 adults arriving at CDG airport in June first week.We will be staying at All seasons near Gare De L%26#39;est station.What is the best possible and cheapest transport option for us?

I am considering trains/metro and shuttles.But considering my area of stay,can we get a taxi for four and still it is same as adding per person charges for trains/shuttles.

Also what will be the direct metro/train connection to our hotel in case from CDG?

%26quot;Best%26quot; and %26quot;cheapest%26quot; are usually not the same thing.

Taxi will be around €60 for four people with luggage.

For €8.90 per person, you can take the RER train from the airport into Paris, getting off at Gare du Nord. From there it is a short walk to Gare d%26#39;Est.

Thanks..but isn%26#39;t there a direct RER/Metro to Gare De L%26#39;est?Because as I also observe on map Gare du nord and Gare de l%26#39;est are near to each other.But I will be having luggage and also my parents are senior citizens,for whom walking may not be a good option

You could change at Gare du Nord to a metro line to go one station to Gare d%26#39;Est, but this would be more difficult than walking through the streets because of all the stairs.

|||

oh that means Paris train stations do not have automated escalators/elevators???

|||

Almost every metro station you will have to use fixed stairs for at least part of the journey from street to platform. You have to remember that the system was built more than 100 years ago.

The only direct transport from CDG to Gare de l%26#39;Est is a regular bus (number 350). This will cost the same as the RER/Metro option but will take a lot longer. There will be no stairs to negotiate - except one or two to get on and off the bus - and you will arrive very close to your hotel.

Allow 1 hour for the trip.

I just took a taxi to that area as I was staying at a Parisian friend%26#39;s apartment and it cost us 50 Euros. He and I arrived back to CDG on a Wednesday around 6:00-6:30PM. He lives on one of the streets that runs alongside Gare de L%26#39;Est.

You can also take a shuttle. I usually stay in the 6th, and have taken paris-connection.com for around 55 Euros round trip. I think it%26#39;s 28 one way. There%26#39;s a discount if it%26#39;s bought round trip. You pay, on line, and then don%26#39;t have to worry about paying a driver or anything. Happy Travels!
