Is Corsica good value for money?

Thinking of Corsica for our hols this year, self catering, anyone know if supermarkets, restaurants are reasonable for beer (food too..!) Flights to Bastia are cheap with easyjet so probably staying in this area of Corsica, looking at end of june, beginning of july so hopefully not too busy,any tips, advice greatly appreciated x

I thought I answered this before but it has not registered.

Corsica is a notch more expensive than mainland France. There are plenty of pizza type places to eat though.

Tips - you will need a car. It%26#39;s quite French, shops shut in the afternoon, supermarkets and even petrol stations often shut on Sundays, that sort of thing. They don%26#39;t speak much English.

It%26#39;s beautiful and well worth it.
