Just wondering if anyone here has been to the above Castel site in the Vendee? It is situate near La Tranche sur Mer. Have heard great and read great reports about Castel sites around France but cannot find any reviews about the above site.
Myself and my daughter who will be 7 are going to France in late August (probably around 20th) and plan on staying in La Tranche for about week and are looking at all possibilities and this is one of the ones that we are considering along with La Baie d%26#39;Anis and Bel camping.
Looking at directly booking with site so need feedback on what facilities are like especially kids clubs.
Also, as an aside, as travelling from Ireland probably Rosslare to Cherbourg wondering how long the journey is from C%26#39;bourg to La Tranche - guess about 5 / 6 hours with stops but has anyone done it - know there are a few French experts from Ireland out there so opinions really appreciated.
