Baloon Ride: How much area does it cover?

Hi,

I found there are baloon rides from Amboise, Chenonceaux, etc. But I am confused as to how much ground they cover in their 45-55 minute actual FLYING TIME (remaining 2 hrs are for prepapration %26amp; post-trip drinks)

Lets say they start from Chenonceaux...they fly over Chenonceau chateau %26amp; some plains..., is that it? Or they do cover further ground upto other castles??

I am wondering if they don%26#39;t, does it make sense to pay so much for an over view of an limited area.

[Euro 185-210 per person per ride]

Thanks for your help.

Balloons only travel as far as the wind will take them. Go on a calm day, you will cover little ground. Go on a windy day, the balloons wont be flying at all.

The Loire isn%26#39;t only chateaux, and chateaux aren%26#39;t the only reason people visit the Loire.

They say each balloon flight is unique, as you go in the direction and speed of the wind.

Be careful when booking baloon trips in the Loire Valley, there are numerous cowboy operators who operate under the auspices of associations and do not have adequate cover or certification, the oldest and most reliable CAA certificated outfit is France Balloons/Montgolfieres with a proper office in Montrichard, and do not operate from a back bedroom or out of a truck.
