Info. Help with Afternoon Tour on a Sunday ??

Hi! we will be arriving Bordeaux on Cruise Ship %26quot;Prinsendam%26quot; on Sunday June 14th - not sure where the allocated wharf is ? but owing to tides our arrival time is 11.30am and departure 11.30pm.

We would like to take an afternoon tour to Saint Emilion to visit the village %26amp; maybe a wine tasting !

Any suggestions on local operated tours from Bordeaux ?

Thanks

Check carefully the port details, as some cruise ships dock in the remote port of Le Verdon, which is 60 miles/90km from Bordeaux!

That will not help if time is tight, so I hope your ship actually goes into the city.

I am familiar with Bordeaux (visiting myself for 3 weeks in July) but sorry I cannot help with tours to St Emilion on a Sunday.

You can check now with the cruise line--or have your travel agent do this for you--to find out where exactly the ship will be docking. In addition to Le Verdon as has been mentioned, some ships will berth just outside of the city at at Bassens.

In addition, check if shore excursions have been arranged. If so, there would certainly be one to Saint-Emilion. I%26#39;ve occasionally worked with the company in Bordeaux which has the contract for these trips and there are usually around a half-dozen itineraries that they arrange (château visits in the Médoc, visits to the Graves, a day of shopping and sightseeing in town, etc.).
