ATM at Gare du Nord

I will be arriving into Gare du Nord from London and will not have any Euros for a taxi. Will I have any difficulty finding an ATM within the station or should I exchange money in advance?

Thanks

Why not exchange at your bank before coming? It will save you time and inconvenience upon arrival.

You will have NO problem whatsoever finding an ATM at Gare du Nord.

We recently departed from Gare du Nord for Amsterdam. When our taxi dropped us off in front of the station, we were immediately accosted by swarms of young girls/women holding cards and saying %26quot;Excuse me, do you speak English%26quot; (when I went to school in France, we used to call them %26quot;gypsies%26quot;, although I am sure that is no longer politically correct). If you tell them %26quot;No%26quot;, they walk away. If you say %26quot;Yes%26quot;, they do try to get money from you. Be aware of your surroundings in any train station in Paris--or anywhere! Station security did chase them away from travelers multiple times while we were there.

In answer to your question, Yes--there are ATMs in Gare du Nord.

It seems to me I%26#39;ve read that ATMs at St Pancras can also dispense Euros... perhaps someone else can confirm this.

DO NOT SAY NO to these girls.. this is a dead giveaway that you do speak English!! don%26#39;t even say non or rather, as a monolingual local would say: %26quot;quoi? je ne comprends pas!%26quot; JUST WALK AWAY WITHOUT A WORD

I would recommend that you get €100 in small bills before you leave NY. That way you don%26#39;t have to look for an ATM as soon as you arrive, and there is no problem if ATMs at your place of arrival happen to be out of order.

The %26quot;gypsy%26quot; girls did leave us alone when we shrugged and gave them a confused look as well. I did see another person say %26quot;No%26quot; and they walked away. Give your %26quot;No%26quot; a little more of a nasaly sound and it will be more similar to a French %26quot;Non%26quot; and does work.

At St Pancras, as well as a Bureau de Change, there is a change machine, where to can change a few Pounds into Euros for immediate needs.
