Can We Sit Outside On Vedettes Du Pont Neuf?

I read somewhere that you can%26#39;t walk around on their boats. Does that mean that it is all enclosed like the Batobus or can we sit outside? Where should we sit to get the best views? Thanks.

There is plenty of outdoor seating and I like to sip up towards the bow so that I can take photos. People move around during the trip so that they can get a better look at the various things along the river and to take pictures.

We were on one of their older boats 2 years ago and there is an outdoor upper deck from where we had an unobstructed view.

Great! How early should we arrive to grab the best seats? We plan on taking the 9:30 pm cruise. Thanks.

I think the comment about not being able to walk around on these boats was in reference to the placement of the seats. There is an aisle down the center and rows of seats reaching clear to the edges of the boat. You certainly can move around during the cruise, you just can%26#39;t walk around the entire perimeter. As noted above, the front is great for taking pictures and having an unobstructed view. If you want to be among the first aboard, arrive 30 minutes early this time of year.

We took the Vedettes du Pont Neuf in early March, it was a sunny and relatively warm day, and they removed the glass canopy cover, so we were in the open air. It was a nice ride.

Just wondering, what time of year are you going? I ask because you mentioned going on the 9:30 pm cruise, so I assume you want the after-dark view with everything lit up? In the summer, you have to go later than that to get the lights. It stays light so late in Paris compared to here in Florida! We went on the 11:00 pm cruise in June and it was perfect.

keylimejet-I%26#39;m counting down to Monday. I wish it was here already.

Seeing you are from WPB, I took the liberty of looking into %26quot;see more about ...%26quot; and saw that you had written a trip report on L%26#39;Isle Sur La Sorgue. We have stayed at Les Carmes in the Vine Suite twice in the past 2 years and absolutely love it (and the food)! Quite the coincidence.

That is a coincidence! We%26#39;ve also been twice and the Vine Suite is my favorite. Love, love, love it there!
