In order to make our day drive down in June from Dijon to Aups in Var, Provence more scenic, we were thinking of the following route... any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is the first time we have travelled through this area.

This is a long trip: around 330 miles, with a driving time of 6.5 hours using the fastest roads available.
I think you should play with various routes using www.viamichelin.com but be aware that its driving times are rather optimistic.

We use MapPoint and interestingly the most direct route is actually longer than the one above. Using these tools is good, but doesn%26#39;t beat local knowledge for the most scenic routes.
