Paris/Rome hotel for family with 3 kids

Looking for suggestions for a good family friendly hotel. Are there any hotels that offer suites at reasonable rates, otherwise 2 adjoining rooms. I am familiar with the Saint Germain area but willing to try others. I was told to try hotel/apartments, but we are only in Paris and Rome for 2 nights each and most hotel apartments rent by the week.

These are two hotels with apartments that we looked at for our family (with no minimum night stays).

Residence Villa Daubenton in the Latin Quarter and La Maison Saint Germain. Both have good reviews on TA.

Thanks, I checked out both these places, which looked nice but were still pricey (over 400 and 500E a night). I think I can get a better rate by getting 2 rooms in a hotel.

seriously reconsider dragging 3 kids to Rome and Paris for 2 nights each -- this is ONE actual day for these cities --

one or the other for 4 nights would give you three actual days which is an absolute minimum to get much out of a place like either of these

and you can get an apartment for 4 nights

We%26#39;ve rented a villa in Tuscany for a week and are spending another week in London - Paris and Rome are the cities we are flying into, just to give the kids a quick taste - trust me I%26#39;d love to spend more time in both these cities, but work/time constraints and budget won%26#39;t allow for more.

We stayed at the Hotel Santa Chiara in Rome with our 3 teenagers a couple of years ago and really liked the family room we were in. Although they called it a room, it felt more like a suite, with our bedroom separated from the kids%26#39; room by a short hall and bathroom. Technically it was all one room, but it felt more like a suite and we liked not feeling that we were all on top of each other all the time. There was also a tiny nook with a desk. And the location was perfect, steps away from the church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva and a block from the Pantheon.
