Camping - suggestions please?

Hi, I am looking to camp for a few days in early June in or around Aix en Provence.

Can anyone recommend a good campsite? Ideally as near to the town as possible.

We have been thinking that we probably want to stay near to the town... We are 2 girls in late 20s so would like some nice restaurants and bars within a 20 min walk.

We welcome any suggestions and recomendations though so if there are any other small towns between Aix en Provence and Marseille which people think would be nicer please do say!

Also I have seen some things saying that campsites get booked up a year in advance. Is this really the case? It would only be for me and my friend and we are sharing a tent so I didn%26#39;t think we would have a problem pitching up at a campsite on the day without booking?

Tripadvisor has quite a few comments on campsites in Aix! Or type %26quot;camping aix en provence%26quot; in your browser.

I do suggest to reserve! Aix is THE place.
